Shottle Hall, Shottle, Derbyshire

Lucy and Daniel's autumn wedding at Shottle Hall in Derbyshire was truly enchanting. As a videographer, I had the pleasure of capturing every special moment at this venue, perched on the edge of the stunning Peak District National Park. Shottle Hall, a historic 19th century manor house, was adorned with seasonal flowers and warm autumn hues, creating the perfect setting.

The ceremony took place in the traditionally styled lounge, where large sash windows allowed the October sunlight to flood in, offering views across the meticulously kept grounds and beyond. The manor's elegant architecture and the rustic charm of the surrounding countryside provided captivating visuals.

The reception was held in the Orangery Restaurant, a beautiful room with a starry blue ceiling. Guests enjoyed an evening filled with laughter and love, with every detail, from the gorgeous autumnal flower-dressed tables to the lively dance floor, reflecting the couple's unique style.

As a videographer at Shottle Hall, my goal was to capture the essence of Lucy and Daniel's love story, ensuring that the warmth and joy of their wedding day were preserved in every frame.

If you're seeking inspiration or planning your wedding, Shottle Hall in Derbyshire offers an idyllic setting, perfect for a luxurious wedding celebration at any time of the year. Filming at this location is a true privilege, creating timeless wedding films that couples will treasure forever.

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?:

To look back on our special day in years to come. Dan said he will forget what happens otherwise if it's not on video, I think this must be why most of his childhood is on film haha!

How do you think you'll feel watching everything back in years to come?:

Glad that we captured the memories but emotional to watch it again.

Tell me about your vision for your wedding day itself. What vibe are you going for? What experience do you want to give your guests?:

Autumnal, rustic vibes. We want the day to be relaxed and have the chance to celebrate with everyone we love.

Where do you see yourselves in 10 years time? (deep, I know):

Married (happily we hope), two kids, two dogs, living somewhere rural.
