The Cottage Hotel, Ruddington, Nottinghamshire

Within the quiet village of Ruddington on the edge of the city of Nottingham lies the beautiful converted 17th century Cottage Hotel.

An exquisite wedding venue providing an intimate environment any bride and groom could wish for. Boasting a honeysuckle central courtyard perfect for capturing the newly married couple’s romantic wedding film footage.

I had the privilege of filming Lauren & Jack’s autumnal wedding that even raindrops couldn’t damper. Heartfelt vows were exchanged and their love for each other was witnessed by all. Lots of fun and laughter was had on the day and amazing memories made and shared.

It was evident to see The Cottage Hotel specialised in personalised weddings. Their attention to detail was flawless and nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff.

Lauren & Jack wanted to have a really cosy vibe to their wedding. Kind of like taking all of your family and friends to a lovely pub but just happening to get married there at the same time. The venue was perfect for this and had several cosy, cute spots which allowed for the bride and groom not to miss anyone. They wanted to feel really connected to their guests and it not be such a big extravagant affair, but just lovely and chilled.

As for the ceremony itself, the bride entered the room with its beautifully wooden beamed ceiling with a string quartet loving playing as she made her way to her waiting groom.

After the ceremony, families celebrated with a delicious wedding breakfast and later danced and cheered the night away.

The finale to their special day was in an array of twinkling sparklers illuminating their love for one another. I was lucky enough to capture this for them…a videographer’s dream shot!
